Lake Area Docks & Lifts, Pelican Rapids
The very first Lake Area Docks & Lifts location was established in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota in 1994. At the time, the location was just docks and lifts on display in a ditch along highway 59. With ShoreMaster boat lifts and docks on display in the ditch along highway 59 near Pelican Rapids the ShoreMaster and Lake Area Docks & Lifts brands began to take shape and grow in the local market. Due to that growth, Donavan and Jeff invested in some land north of the Pelican Rapids city limits, and built the first Lake Area Docks & Lifts store in 1995. Inside you'll find all of the latest ShoreMaster dock systems, LA Dock systems, and ShoreMaster boat lifts, plus a wide assortment of accessories in a clean, comfortable showroom. We are ShoreMaster's #1 dealer, and we stock both docks and boat lifts year round. Please stop in and let us help you design your dream dock system, or help find a new boat lift that fits your boat, pontoon or tritoon.

Pelican Rapids Store Manager, Pat Davison
Your Neighbor At The Lake
Pat Davison and his wife Katie live on the Otter Tail River in Fergus Falls and are looking forward to serving the local communities. |
Pat Davison has spent most of his life near the water. Growing up in Western Wisconsin, summer weekends were spent in or behind a boat at his family’s cabin near New Richmond, WI. Sunny days were spent water skiing or wakeboarding before an evening pontoon ride around the lake.
After high school, Pat moved to Duluth, MN to attend UMD. He majored in Marketing at the Labovitz School of Business and has an affinity for small businesses and their impact on the local community. Pat spent the better part of 15 years in Duluth, where he would go on to manage an outdoor store, helping people get outside and enjoy the nature that borders Lake Superior. Pat found the perfect paddling partner in his now-wife, Katie, and they love to explore the BWCA and small lakes that pepper northern MN. It was Katie’s influence that brought Pat to Fergus Falls, where they now call the Otter Tail River home with their two dogs, Rebel and Chester. |
