Donavan Rasmusson and his Wife Renae are the owners of Lake Area Docks & Lifts. In 1998, Donavan left his full time role at ShoreMaster in order to focus on his new business at Lake Area Docks & Lifts, that was started with his brother Jeff in 1994. Donavan's vision was to expand and grow the operation through strong sales of ShoreMaster Docks, Boat Lifts, and Accessories, and a focus on just docks and lifts.
Donavan Rasmusson has 28+ years of experience and knowledge in the waterfront equipment industry that you can rely on to help you make smart choices regarding new or used waterfront equipment. After growing up on a farm near Fergus Falls, Donavan values hard work, treating people fairly, and living out the meaning of being "your neighbor at the lake". |

Donavan Rasmusson hired Jim Gjere to help manage the Fergus Falls Location and act as Operations Manager and install crew lead. Jim is an employee-owner of Lake Area Docks and Lifts and handles everything from sales and service calls to managing operations and dock and lift installs.
Jim played offensive line for the Minnesota Golden Gophers, and was an Associated Press first team all-state selection in 2009 for Irondale High School in New Brighton, MN. Jim Studied Business and Marketing at the U of M. You can rely on Jim's 10+ years of experience in managing dock and lift installations and removals in Minnesota. Jim has seen nearly every type and style of dock and boat lift available to the market and he has hands-on knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of each system. Jim has seen nearly every type of waterfront challenge, and has a solid understanding of how to overcome those challenges in a safe, and cost-effective way. |
